THE CENTER

At the Center for Developmental Excellence we take the time to listen to your concerns.  Based upon years of clinical experience we then recommend pertinent evaluations and treatment to help assess and treat the underlying cause of the problem. 

There are many foundations that children need in order to pass through developmental stages.  Because our body and mind are one comprehensive system, when development goes awry in one area, it can often effect multiple areas of development.  At our Center we provide a developmental map of where your child is and where he needs to be.  It is reassuring for families that in conjunction to our evaluation program we also have a state of the art treatment facility so we can take your child where s/he needs to grow. 

Our program is staffed with leaders in their fields and provides a full range of clinical, diagnostic, and treatment services in:

• Developmental Medicine
• Psychology and Psychiatry
• Education
• Behavior
• Occupational Therapy
• Speech Language Pathology (including social skills)
• Alternative Medicine

The Center is unique in that we offer diagnostic and treatment evaluations paired with parent training.  When families leave our doors, they walk away with an education.  We have several educational options to meet your child and families needs:

• One time initial consultation
• On going treatment:
  • For psychology, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, or behavior you can choose treatment which ranges from one hour to forty hours per week.  We also have an intensive summer option.
• For education, we provide ongoing consultation, as needed
• Comprehensive evaluation and training program:
• There is a 7, 10, and 14 day option where we will provide comprehensive evaluations, treatment planning, and training to the child’s family and therapeutic team. 
• After our evaluation, you will receive an individualized treatment plan with specific lessons for how achieve goals.  Next, we provide hands-on intensive training to get you started.

• Anyone can refer a child aged birth-22 to our Diagnostic, Evaluation, and Treatment Center.
